Community Update – Cricklewood Ward |
||
|
Dear Resident,
We would like to provide an update on the work your local neighbourhood policing team has been carrying out over the last few months.
Despite periods where officers have been abstracted to support borough-wide operations, major incidents, and policing commitments such as the Jewish High Holidays, our priority remains delivering the best possible service to our local communities.
Over recent months, officers have continued to attend community events and engagement activities across the ward. We have been speaking with residents, parents, local businesses, and community groups about anti-social behaviour (ASB), crime prevention, personal responsibility, and ways in which we can work together to keep our neighbourhoods safe.
We have also continued to deliver crime prevention events and have worked closely with our Police Cadets, supporting activities such as test purchasing operations and weapon sweeps. These initiatives not only help tackle local issues but also provide valuable opportunities for young people to contribute positively to their communities.
High-visibility patrols remain a key focus for the team. Officers continue to patrol the ward regularly, paying particular attention to areas where concerns have been raised, including: Alongside visible patrols, much of our work takes place behind the scenes. Officers have been progressing investigations, developing intelligence, and working with partner agencies on closure orders, warrants, and other enforcement activity aimed at addressing persistent crime and anti-social behaviour.
We would also like to take this opportunity to recognise the excellent work of PCSO Jonathan Freedman, who has been exceptionally proactive over the last few months and has worked tirelessly to address many outstanding issues during periods when other team members have been unavailable due to abstractions and operational commitments.
Looking ahead, we will continue to: Finally, we would like your help. We encourage all residents to sign up to Met Engage, which allows you to receive updates from your local policing team and provides an easy way to tell us about the issues that matter most to you.
The more information we receive from a wider range of residents, the better we can understand local concerns and direct our resources effectively. We do not want to rely solely on information from a small number of sources; your feedback helps shape our priorities and the work we undertake. Please continue to let us know about any issues affecting your area, no matter how small they may seem. Your information is invaluable in helping us keep our neighbourhoods safe.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. | ||
